More than One Function Venue

We have gone to much trouble to build stunning function venues with nature's canvas and the mighty Vaal River as the backdrop; as an added boon, the town of Parys is only 10 km away.  Tranquillity and hospitality are two of our most important hallmarks and our natural environment does a lot to reinforce this peaceful ambience.  Our main entertainment area has a splendid view of the Vaal, with the natural granite rock and the green lawns as the finishing touches.

Elephant

Our Elephant function venue is situated in the main entertainment area and incorporates a sun deck (the “Cigar Lounge”) and a stage, as well as a private bar area, replete with dart board and pool table.  This spacious, thatched entertainment and dining area is suitable for up to 140 guests or conference delegates seated around 14 tables.  When this area is not used as a private function venue, it is a dining area.

Hippo

Hippo is a smaller function venue with space for 70 banquet guests and is a firm favourite because it is near the edge of the Vaal River.  Hippo is not situated at the main entertainment area and as such, it has its own private bar facilities.  This venue is an attractive wood and glass construction and truly spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from the surrounding wooden deck.

Rhino

Unlike Hippo, the Rhino function venue is located at the main entertainment area and this thatched venue is spacious enough to accommodate 200 banquet guests; for more informal events such as cocktail functions, up to 300 people can be accommodated.  This venue also has a large deck area that extends up to the imposing granite rock that runs right into the Vaal's waters and it also has its own private bar.

Bushman's Bar

Like Hippo, Bushman's Bar is another function venue located away from the main entertainment area and is ideal for a small, private, intimate function for up to twenty people.  Its wooden deck extends over a stream that runs through the property and it has its own boma and campfire area.  This restful setting is perfect for sitting by the campfire and listening to the far-off rumble of the Vaal River.

Our complex has a function venue for every purpose and our location in close proximity to the Vaal River and the town of Parys (and an hour's drive from Johannesburg) makes us the perfect fit for any corporate event.  Our leisure facilities include:
