Conferencing Facilities at SunWa

 Because we are only an hour’s drive from Johannesburg, we are located ideally for delegates arriving by road and air. The little town of Parys is picturesque and the beauty of the Vaal River’s banks is on our doorstep. We have gone to great lengths to ensure that we make the most of the natural beauty of the river and surrounding nature, and our tranquil gardens with huge trees and the river flowing by makes the perfect place for delegates to relax after some highly educational sessions at their start-up conference.

Our conferencing amenities facilities are first class, and we have four different conference rooms that can be used for a start-up or any other type of conference, and the break-out sessions during the event. Our largest conference room can accommodate up to 350 delegates and the remaining three conference rooms accommodate between 15 and 150 people, depending on the seating arrangement. We also provide full catering and our entertainment area and swimming pool provide after-hours relaxation with several games and activities such as darts, snooker, and table tennis. Your delegates would love to interact with each other here, while networking and building new relationships.

Accommodation Options

When it comes to accommodating people for your start-up conference, we excel at providing outstanding value for money. We have several different accommodation options to choose from. Our Canadian log cabins are a group of authentic log cabins that provide the ideal accommodation for a large group of people. The cabins are double storey and some have private patios that overlook the river below; others have a good view of the stream trickling through the tranquil gardens. Here we can accommodate either 32 single or 64 sharing delegates. The cool shade of the trees and the meandering stream provide the ideal atmosphere for a restful night and a relaxing day, and delegates are welcome to make use of the entertainment area to stay active and network after hours.

Other options include 17 single-storey cottages that are located further away from the main entertainment area and bar, and here a more intimate atmosphere allow delegates to escape the rush and enjoy a relaxing break away from the crowd. Our Thorntree cottage is tucked away and private, ideal for a smaller group of people. Here your delegates will enjoy very comfortable en-suite bedrooms, a communal lounge, and more than enough space for up to 21 people.

When it comes to luxury, our Quarter Deck is the place to be. Here we can accommodate delegates in five executive suites that are situated some distance from the entertainment area in order to provide tranquillity and quiet relaxation. The fully stocked mini bar in the communal lounge is open to all guests. Our more discerning guests prefer the luxurious surroundings of our latest addition, the Duck Pond cottage. Here, you will find a high standard of décor, superb beds, fantastic linen, and stylish furniture. Four spacious rooms provide the ideal accommodation for the more discerning guest and we are proud of the sumptuous luxury of this unit.
